It covers one 2-unit semester of research writing. This course is intended to acquaint students with the nature, scope, importance and different types of research as well as identification of probable sources of research problems. Emphasis is placed on literature review and methodologies which include the research design, the samples/respondents and sampling design, types of data to be collected and methods of data collection and the statistical analysis. The final output of the course is a full-blown research proposal.

This course gives an in depth presentation of the cardio-pulmonary abnormalities, and corrective techniques as related to respiratory therapy. Includes, study of concepts and theory of selected cardiopulmonary diseases. To discuss and present it’s definition, clinical manifestations, etiology, pathologic, radiological and laboratory findings; prevention, prognosis, and treatment. To understand the etiology, anatomy, pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiopulmonary disease. Recommend modification of respiratory care plans using evidence-based medicine, protocols, and clinical practice guidelines.
